Technology PD - organization

I finally cleaned up my desktop and organized my documents. I now have a folder for each unit we have or will be covering, as well as a folder for grad school, technology, etc. I am also working on renaming old documents to make their titles more obvious for what is in them. I plan to keep this up to make my resources for school easier to access and also teach my students to title and organize their own laptops in a practical way.

Technology PD -Rubrics

Today in PD class Ms. Jenkins taught me how use the rubistar website where you can use the templates to easily create rubrics for everything from a math lesson to a brochure project. Since we will be creating brochures after the ELA test in January, I created a rubric for it in under a minute. Wow! Although I will eventually modify it slightly it was amazing that all I had to do was choose what each row of the rubric would be looking at and then the website put in a breakdown for that category from a 1-4. I will be using this website to help create rubrics for assignments, especially smaller assignments that can have less specific rubrics. I might even have students use the site to have input into what type of rubrics we should be using.
