My First Blog
I am excited to be teaching eighth grade ELA at 339! This is my first year teaching at this school. I graduated from Michigan State University with BAs in English and History. I moved to New York from Michigan in June and began training with Teach for America where I taught summer school at MS 45. My students are constantly impressing me with their creativity. In my free time I love to read and play soccer.
I have chosen to blog on international and domestic news. This topic grabbed my attention because it covers so many smaller topics that impact our lives in different ways. Politics, international relations, economics, groundbreaking stories...these all help shape the world in which we live. I look forward to spending time reading up on this topic and getting more familiar with important news stories around us.

Wow! I was so excited to see your blog post. Let your imagination run wild. You've got the basis worked out for quality instruction, so now you can just let your ideas run wild to hook the students into their work. I look forward to seeing what else you write.
